Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of many awards at international and national levels. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the globe regarding policy as well as the study of child abuse in the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
